This is a track recorded 30 yrs ago, to the month and sold in the old cassette tape format, hand to hand, with proceeds having gone to the charity Trocaire, all in support of famine alleviation in Somalia. It is dreadful to think that this song is as relevant today as back then. I hope you enjoy it. The finance generated from your purchase will go directly towards famine relief in Somalia.
Thirty years ago a huge number of gifted kind wonderful amateur and professional musicians and singers from Boyle, Co. Roscommon were invited into a home made studio and we all let fly. I do think that Gerald (Gerry) Casey stole the show with his flawless vocal on this track. This song is part of a 12 track album called "For Africa" which to the best of my knowledge is no longer available. Some tracks may reappear in the near future however. .
